and Open Question: House for Sale by Owner Question?  ok, so my husband and i need at least $131,500 from the sale of our house to pay off the existing mortgage and pay off the home equity line. What i want to know is, if you do a for sale by owner is there any extra money we need to pay at the sale of our house except closing costs? we have alway used a real estate agent and know nothing about doing a for sale by owner but we can’t afford a real estate agent, so i need help!!!! anyone who can give me advice please do! Probably the most we could ask for our house is $135,000 because that is the max it appraises for. HELP ME! (i hope this makes sense to someone, because i am not even sure it makes sense to me, lol), more
and Open Question: Property management Fees?  I’m about buying a home in houston and am thinking of using the buying agent as a property manager as I live out of town. He has given me his fees: 10% of the monthly rent. But i need to compare prices. I would like to know the general fee for Property managers in houston., more

Open Question: Mortgage refinance – origination fee?  We are taking advantage of the really low interest rates on home mortgages by refinancing our home. We have excellent credit history, an excellent credit score, and have been employed with the same companies for many years. We have been loyal customers of this bank for over 30 years. They are charging an origination fee of 1% of the total amount refinanced. There are other fees that I know aren’t negotiable, but I was wondering if there’s a chance the bank would reduce the origination fee by half since we’ve been good customers for so long. And we’ve had our house financed with them for 10 years.

and Open Question: if I purchased a new home 03/31/2008, do I qualify for the $7500 tax credit?  I purchased a new home last year, and I just recently read about a $7500 tax credit. I was wondering if I would be able to qualify for it? I found out you would have to buy after 04/08/2009 as I understand it, am I really out of luck because of 8 days?, more
