What protects me from being wrongfully fined from my apartment leasing office?

Posted by on May 31 | Real Estate Investing Chatter

I just moved into my aparment complex a few monthes ago, and I have a large dog. I received a letter on my door stating that I have violated my lease by not picking up after him; next time it happens they are going to charge me. I will be the first one to admit if I was really doing this however, I’m not. I am very carefull about picking up after my dog every time I walk him. Several of my neighbors have dogs, and it must be one of them. Do they need proof to charge me? How can I protect myself from being wrongfully charged? I am worried that I will be unable to prevent them from charging me in the future for something I have no control over. Any advice would be great! Thanks yall., more

and How much is an acre of land worth in Red Mountain CA?  My Daughter in law has just inherited 80 acres of land in the outskirts of Red Mountain CA, it is in an undeveloped part of the desert with no utilities. We are very curious of its value, the land was purchased in 1994 with the hopes of finding gold., more

and Sydney Real Estate ideal for "first home buyers or investors"?  What does this really mean? I am not a first home buyer but I am investor but am looking to purchase an apartment in Sydney to live in soon. When I come across the above note on ad’s I click next. Why do they say this on some properties and not others. I would love to know and does it mean there is something wrong with the place?, more

Can my manager do this?  On my lease it says that there is a base fee of $12/mo for trash. However, the third party billing service that my complex uses is charging me $18/mo. Can I do anything about this or can they just change the prices when they want even though it was in my lease?
I pay for all utilities. Water, sewage, etc are all on this bill as well but they are charged separately. The trash is stated as $18 all by itself., more

and Mortgage payment question?  I just bought a house and had my settlement in the last week of April. I am doing it through Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. On May 8th, I got my mortgage statement for June (which I paid), then less than two weeks later, I got the statement for July (I paid that too). Now, about a week later today, I got the statement for August. I am wondering why the fuck I got 3 mortgage statements in less than a month. This is a monthly mortgage, so why am I being sent all these? This one isnt due until August 1, so I know I have time to pay it off. However, I don’t want all these things to pile up and forget to make a payment. I am paying a MONTHLY morgage, so why am I not receiving my statements monthly, like I do my car payment, etc? If anyone can help me with this, please do. This is getting quite irritated and is uncalled for. Thank you.
If this doesn’t stop, I am going to call them and give them a serious piece of my mind.
