Me and my wife are moving into our first home at the end of the month. We have lived together in an apartment, and we’re currently living with her parents. I know that living in your own home is a lot different than in an apartment. What are some items besides furniture, that we’ll need to buy? Thanks to everyone who takes the time to answer., more 
and How much usually is point cost for home loan and how much would it buy down my %? My loan amount is 175K , 30yr fixed
1). How much would each point cost me for the above loan ?
2). How much of a % would it cut down when I pay the points upfront ?

How to deal with a Down Payment? Is there any legal way on a commercial real estate deal to have your down payment financed? I need 15% for the down payment on a property with great cash flow that could support a mortgage and another loan but I don’t know how to go about getting one or if it’s even legal. Please help, more
and Professional Short Sale Negotiator? I just put an offer on a short sale property. The listing agent said there is a professional negotiator who will be working on the short sale along with an attorney. My agent was very pleased about this and said this will make the process more uniform and it will be easier for us to stay informed and know what is going on.
My question: Does having the professional negotiator make the process go faster?
