and how can i break my apartment lease?  I have lived in this apartment for about 8 months. There are a few things wrong with the apartment, there is a small hole in the bathroom wall and this is a lower level apartment so bugs get in. The apartment has a funny smell because when I first moved in the toilet overfilled and the landlord tried to blame me for it. There are also tacks sticking up from the carpet. I am trying to get out of my lease, should I talk to my landlord about ending the lease early or take other measures such as summoning an inspector?, more

If tenant sold property to another person, will then new owner be recognized as the new tenant under the lease?  Ok, this is the situation:
In a shopping center,a tenant sold his property to another person. The previous owner signed a lease with the landlord for a 5 years term. But after the 3rd year, all the money and paper works to sell the property to the new owner are done. During the payments, the new owner try to contact the manager but was unsuccessful.
Q1: Is it illegal to sell property without inform the landlord first?
Q2: Will the new owner be added into the lease or does the lease has to end before he can sign it?
Q3: Can the previous owner sign the lease after 5 years and kick the new owner out? Because even though it is the new owner property, if their names not on the lease, the landlord still has not recognize it as the new owner property, right?
- We afraid the previous owner may scam us after selling the property, because the new owner has limited English and little resource for an attorney.
So What should the new owner do?, more

and Why do builders put en-suites on even the smallest houses nowadays?  Sometimes, the insistence to add an ensuite has made the ‘master’ bedroom ridiculously small, with only room for tiny bedside cabinets.
It used to be an ensuite was a luxury for larger houses. Now they squeeze one into even their smallest properties, often at the expense of much needed storage or square footage.
Why?
…so why does the house price go up? Because I know for a fact I’d rather have more space than two nearly-identical bathrooms next to each other., more
