where to get non warrantable condo financing?

Posted by on Jun 21 | Real Estate Investing Chatter

I paid cash for my condo 5 years ago and now i want to cash out to consolidate bills. i found out my building was non warrantable because the association owns most of the units and rents them out and claims they are in the middle of remodeling the units so they don’t have to sell.
my broker said he cannot find anyone right now that will do the mortgage. he said chase used to do non warranted but no longer will do it and he has tried everyone he can think of. there has to be somebody that will do this mortgage. Does anyone know who?, more

and What can I do to get my deposit back from my landlord?  I rented an apartment off Craigslist last summer (2008) for 2 months at $2,100 with my friend (we split the rent). We left a deposit of $500, and because she owed me money, I got the check from the landlord. He asked me not to deposit it immediately because he had limited funds in the account, so I waited, tried to deposit it when he said it was okay (November), it bounced, he said early January so to be safe I deposited in early February – it bounced again. I looked at the check and it said RETURN REASON – STOP PAYMENT.
I have tried calling but the number listed on the check no longer works. We had a lease agreement which alluded to the deposit, I lost the copy I have (he may still have it)
Should I just leave it and assume I will never get my money? If you have dealt with a similar situation, what did you do?, more

and Steps to becoming a property manager and salary?  I’ve been doing a lot of research on how to become a property manager and there seems to be a lot of different ideas. Some people say you need to obtain your broker’s license on top of various degrees. Some say you just need your bachelor’s or master’s degree in real estate, business administration, etc. I guess there are also written tests like a state property management licensing examination?
Also different websites give me different estimates on salaries. Some say you only make $30,000 a year while others claim the median is $70,000. I know it varies on where you are and experience but even when I broke the job titles down into detail they were all really off.
So if you would please give me details on your experience and your salary that would be great! I’m so confused! Thank you!
I’m debating if this career would be worth it or not. And please if you have suggestions of other possible careers that would be great as well!, more
