How long does it usually take for banks to respond to offers on foreclosed homes?

I made an offer six weeks ago and I still have not heard anything. I’m getting nervous because my lease will be up in 2 months on my current home, I’m not sure if I should keep waiting or look elsewhere.
Has anyone had experience with this before? How long did you wait before receiving a response?, more 

and What does it mean if the bank reduces the price of a foreclosure even after they already have 4 contracts ?  According to my real estate agent I signed one of four contracts the bank currently has for a foreclosed home. After a month of waiting, I’m hearing that the bank is sitting on the contracts (no decision been made yet) but has actually reduced the price by approx. $15,000! What is the meaning of this?, more
