I have a misdemeanor pet.larceny record(4yrs.old) and NEED to rent an apt. What are my chances?

I am in dire need to rent an apartment within the next month but I have this record that hinders me, as its supposed to I guess. It is something that I have rarely had to deal with in my everyday life right now but I wanted to know if it would keep me from renting an apartment,,,please give me good answers(wishful thinking). and $8000 first time home buyer question.?  Is the $8000 first time home buyer credit a good idea if I plan to move to another state in two years. As I understand it I would need to repay the credit plus pay a real estate commission. Also I received a grant to pay closing costs ($5000) Which has a clause that states that I must remain in the home for 5 years.. I have a 100% rural development loan. How much “under water” would I be if I needed to sell in two years or would it be better to let the bank foreclose?
I haven’t done this nor would I ever, but this may be a common question on YA beginning Jan. 2011.
Just wanted to know if anyone would think this could ever happen., more 

and How does one become a real estate developer?  Is there any one way to do it? Do you just have to have a well paying job and just go from there? Can you major in something like Real Estate Developing or Land Development or something along those lines? I’m interested in becoming a developer for cities and such, but I’m not sure if this is realistic, and how one goes about becoming a developer. Thanks!, more 

HORRIBLE ROOMIES! HELP!?  I recently moved in with my brother-in-law and his wife. well, actually they moved in with me. all i ask is that they let me know when people are going to be over, pick up after themselves, put their dishes in the dishwasher and take them out if they are done. I figure that since my husband and i are paying all of the bills, they should at least help out with all of that. Well, apparently they think i am their provider and their maid. i have talked to them, my husband flipped on his brother, and i still wake up to a huge mess and strangers on MY couch and find them trying to pawn off MY cat. WHAT CAN I DO?, more 

and what i need to know about homes when becoming a real estate agent?  whenever i watch shows about real estate, i see that they know about characteristics about the property.
for example different kinds of floors like parkay, hardwood, laminate….or ceilings like vaulted, trey etc….and so on.
how can i learn about these things because i don’t want to look like an idiot and be like ”heres the house” and that’s it.
