and I was trying to buy a house; can I get any of the $4000 I spent back from the loan company?  My husband & I were trying to buy a house & the loan company kept promising us that we were getting the loan. We even had a loan commitment approval letter & then they took it back because they said the foreclosure rate was too high in the state we live in. This has been going on for over 3 months & we spent close to $4000 dollars. We had to pay for 3 appraisals at close to $400 a piece, put $1000 earnest money deposit & everything! If we do Not get this loan, is there anyway that we can get any of our money back? We were guaranteed the loan several times just to be denied again. Thanks.
Thank you. I think I am going to contact the Attorney General first thing tomorrow morning. I also think they should have to pay me more money for stringing me along for this long & leaving me in a bad situation where I now have to find a place to rent in less than 2 wks. lol And that’s going to cost me almost double what my house payment was going to be., more
