Sorry I know this isn’t related to “renting” in the general sense but I was hoping for all perspectives on this matter. Thank you for reading.
We live in a residential, very diverse and quiet area that we really liked. We learned that one of the old homeowners left and rented the place to Section 8 tenants with a HUGE family of kids. These people hang out at night and make tons of NOISE and they speak crudely and my kids rooms are right near them and I’m sure they can hear them.
Wow, they really have everyone upset and ofcourse I don’t want to personally approach them because they might yell and want to fight me so I just call the local precinct for a noise complaint but they don’t do anything.
This has me a little depressed and WE ARE LOOKING TO SAVE $ TO MOVE but in the meantime, how would you handle it??? In the meantime what can I say to calm myself when I see these jerks outside constantly! I used to be able to have the kids play outside but now I can’t. Who knows what they’ll do when July 4th comes around.
This has me a little sad, more for my kids who used to enjoy hanging outside in the late afternoons with me on the stoop. Never again. (we’re of the same race so please understand that’s not the issue)
Thank you to all., more

and Duplex problem…one loud tenant keeping other tenant up!? I own a duplex. One on first floor and one upstairs. The tenant upstairs works nights and when he leaves he turns his tv on. The downstairs tenant says it’s to loud and can’t sleep. They have tried to resolve it themselves but no progress. I told tenant to call police if it’s to loud but police would not come out. Who’s responsibility is it mine or police?, more

and Roommate skipped out.? My son and four of his schoolmates leased an apartment for 1 year. One of the guys decided he was not going to return to school. Now he’s not on the lease, but gave no notice whatsoever and stiffed the kids for the rent. Do they have any recourse, he agreed to his share of the rent for the entire year but by verbal agreement only., more
