can a title co record the sale of property asthe trustee?
and What Can I do Now about this living problem?  I recently moved in as a sublet into a house close to the university I attend. Before I moved into the room, there were residents who were on the lease but bailed out on paying the rent, therefore, I moved into their room. Because the roommates who are still there want some sort of money, they negotiated a deal where I can move in and pay half price for the room, therefore, I accepted the offer.
I was told that I’ll be subletting throughout the remainder of the lease, and I can get on the lease for the upcoming school year. Because my roommate is negotiating a deal where I pay half price, the overall rent that is due each month is short by a few hundred dollars. This obviously creates a problem between the roommates and the landlord. I offered to find another roommate to share the room with me so we are all no longer a few hundred dollars short, but I was told not to worry about it because they’ll deal with it themselves.
Yesterday, I just found out from my roommate (through a message while I wasn’t home, not a face to face conversation) that I have to move out in less than 30 days because the landlord is increasing the rent, and a whole bunch of money issues. I feel very mislead because we made a verbal agreement that I can stay there for at least 6 months. In addition, I just moved into the house a few weeks ago, now I am being forced to move into a different house in the next few weeks, which is very inconvenient and emotionally distressing for me (because I work, go to school, and currently experience financial and personal issues). We haven’t spoken to each other lately because we are barely home. No written contract was formed, every agreement made was verbal. I do want to go through moving in and out again, especially since I have important dates and obligations on the week I’m expected to move out. I also don’t want to leave because the house is very close to campus.
I’ve been very distressed about this, and I feel that my roommate screwed me over. I was wondering how should I approach this situation?, more
