« Can a 21 year old rent a house for a week in South Carolina? | Board of appeals for property tax.? »

A long time ago i bought a house but never received a deed from the previous owner. Now the city wants to condemn it and have it torn down and they are coming after me. I also never paid the property taxes so I can’t even say I own the property anymore. The CIty basically doesn’t want to have to absorb the cost to take it down.
So am I still liable for it or is the deed holder the liable one, or are either of us liable since the property taxes haven’t been payed?, more

and How can I terminate my lease without having to pay a penalty? I just moved into an apartment about a month ago and it is infested with fleas. Pest control has been out several times and it has not fixed the problem. The property manager claims this is no reason to terminate a lease and they will charge me the penalty fee. If I do not pay they will put it on my credit., more
