and So fed up with my scummy landlord…what should I do? OK I live in a college apartment off-campus. I’ve asked several questions about this in the past couple days but still. My landlord came by my apartment today FINALLY – first time in 2 months since I notified her – to check out the mold I was saying was in the AC closet (I got it frickin tested and it is mold) and she wrote me later saying we have determined there is no mold in your closet (didn’t say how) and that any mildew that might have been in there has been killed (even though they haven’t done any work in the closet so I don’t know how it magically disappeared). All she is willing to do is clean the carpets since I mentioned them being damp from the leaky AC unit. What should I do? I want to leave and break my lease because I’m so tired of being treated like crap.
acermill- No I’m not using it as an excuse, just simply trying to get it fixed since it’s screwing with my allergies so badly. I only want to break the lease because I’m frustrated at this point. While I appreciated your answer on my other question and took it into consideration, I still don’t feel like cleaning it is my responsibility since I didn’t cause the mold growth. Sorry, not trying to be difficult., more
