Will I get a credit from escrow when closing for buying a house?

I just talked to my lender about what closing costs to expect if we buy a house right now, and I want to run this by everyone to see if this is correct, and you could maybe explain it to me. He told me that when you buy a house, the seller has to pay money towards the escrow, which usually amounts to about a years worth of property taxes for the house you are buying. He said this credit will be put towards my closing costs, so most likely I will not have to bring any cash to the closing other then my down payment. I would have thought that the money the seller is putting towards taxes, would just go into my escrow account, not towards other expenses, or else i am going to have to owe a lot of taxes. Maybe i misunderstood something, but does any of this make sense? Thanks for the help, more
and Bank owned home not budging on asking price? My hubby and I want to purchase a house bank owned. They have an asking price of $214,900. We offered 197,000 plus closing costs. This is as much as we can possibly afford. The bank said they would pay closing costs but won’t go a penny off their asking price. We gave them our letter of pre approval which shows we are only approved for $200,000. Do you think the bank is trying to squeeze us for more money? Our realtor told them we will be moving on, but is there a chance the bank will change it’s mind?, more
and Can someone rent a house on your behalf? I’m having some trouble getting the houses I want due to lack of rental history (not financial, credit etc). So I was wondering if I could get my dad to get the lease under his name, put down two occupants (him and myself) in the application but he obviously he wouldnt be living there himself.
My Dad wouldnt have any problems doing this since he knows I am reliable. But legally, is this an issue? I’m in Australia but let me know what you think anyway., more
What is usually included in rent in Florida? I’m thinking about moving to St. Petersburg, FL. I’ve heard that water is not typically included in the price of rent. Is this true? If so how much extra is water, and what else usually comes with rent?, more
and hi few months ago i rented my flat to a pakistani guy via gumtree.he moved to london from another place.? he gave me advance for 1 month , before that his friend view the flat.he said he’ll sign the contract when he’ll move. i made a mistake i thought i got deposit so he’ll sign when he’ll move in london . But on day 1 he refused to sign & said to me he doesn;t like the flat so he’ll move very soon . Its been 6 months now he gave me so many date to move but he;s not moving. i’m paying the bills & mortgage from last 2 months he is not paying me any rent. he never gave me full rent & on time. he rent out 2 other rooms in the flat.as far as i know all of them living in the flat are on student visa but they are not studing & working full time . some of them got more than 1 job.but the main guy said he’s finished study now on work permit again he said he is a student of a well known uni in london. i m confused
i m a shop assistant, living in low income & sharing with another family. my wife is pregnent. so i wanted to move in to my flat.but i cant… & thinking it will take time if i go for ligel action ( court) .i have to pay everything for few months untill they evict by the court. or call the immigration police but i dont know the number …
