and Moving out for the first time.? Hello, My girlfriend, her sister and I were thinking about moving out in maybe a year from now. Could be more depending on how things are by then. But lets say a year right now. We currently live in the Bay Area [California] and REALLLLY want to live somewhere out of state, like Arizona or Albuquerque, New Mexico. California is seriously screwed up right now, things are getting so expensive, we are all growing up so we don’t have much of a choice but to leave because unlike our parents we werent able to grow our bank accounts when California wasn’t so messed up seeing as we were either little or not alive. Now I have never moved before. I have always lived in the same house. My girlfriend and her sister have moved before from house to house but never ‘moved out’ as in on their own before. In one years time her sister will be 24, she will be 19 and I will be 18. Two out of three of us most likely will have jobs, only one does right now, one is searching. They are open to living in either an apartment or a house, I prefer homes. Basically i guess what I’m trying to say is what kinds of things will we need to know and do in order to make sure we can all move out comfortably? I.E not living from paycheck to paycheck. P.S I have family in Surprise, AZ, So we were most likely looking to move there, in case anyone is nice enough to help me with research., more
and What should i do about apartment manager? I had a confrontation with the manager of the apartments i live in. These are low income apt. for families. My manager made a few repairs to my apartment and had sent me the charges of those repairs. It turned out the he ended up charging me for a repair he said he wasn’t going to charge me for. I have been trying to contact him and he wouldn’t respond to my phone calls. Any way I saw him as i was going to wash clothes and I asked him about it. I was very nice to him and was not trying to accuse him for anything. I was just trying to see if maybe he forgot and made a mistake or something.
So when I had asked him he got very arguementive towards me and yelled at me in a very disrespectful way in front of my son. He gave me the reason why there was a charge, but he was very rude.
So when i went back to my apt. i called him I asked him why did he talk to me in such a nasty way. I was just wonder what had happened and why did he charge me for something he said he wouldn’t charge me for. He even stood outside my apartment and was yelling at me from his phone from outside. I am sure other people heard what was going on.
He was accusing my kids for punching in my screen and that I should control my kids. I told him not to tell me how to raise my kids. Accidents happen. I told him that I wasn’t trying to be rude, i was just tyring to figure out what had happened, and you made it into an arguement. He said he charge me for the second repair and that is the charge I see on the paper he sent me. I was never told he fixed that screen twice, he never told me. Clearly there was a miscommunication between us, but was it necessary for him to talk to me that way. He was very drunk when he spoke to me. What can I do about him? who can i report him to?
