Ok, so here is the situation: My boyfriend and I are looking to buy a house. Our price range is $60,000-$90,000. He is 29 and I am 20. He has terrible credit, so I don’t think we’d be able to get a loan for a house under his name. I, on the other hand, have really good credit, however since I am only 20 years old, I am worried I won’t be able to get a loan. We have about $16,000 for a down-payment. My other dilemma is that I only make about $500 per month, so our mortgage would be mostly paid by him, but once again, the loan would be in my name, and I don’t think a bank would be willing to lend to me if I only made that much. Can anyone help me out with this? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!, more
