Is anything required for a house viewing via a realtor?

We’re looking to move…but no paperwork, pre-approvals, etc. have been started yet. We want to see the inside of a certain house. Do we need to do anything to be “prepared”…or can we literally just put in our request online for a showing, and show up with no questions asked so to speak?, more 
and My friend is gay and looking for a room to rent. Are there any resources for GLBT housing?  He is just fearful of living with other people who aren’t friendly towards him being gay. He has had some serious issues before and we dont want repeats. Thanks! -Sarah, more 

and How much should you charge a relative or stranger renting 1 bedroom plus utilities?  Having a relative stay over can be difficult. But if that person started working & they dont pay bills, they are taking advantage of your hospitality. Who wants a bum?
