and What are my rights as a tenant in this situation? My landlord has evicted me. We do not have a written lease, and she did not lodge my bond money. she claims that part of ‘the deal’ was for me to be non smoking. which was the case until a few weeks ago but i dont smoke in or around her house, only out on the public street. she also claims i have caused damage to her outdoor glass table by not using coasters. i have used this table once and wiped it down thoroughly afterwards, it doesnt even look like i used it at all! she also claims i flooded the laundry… which im pretty sure id know about if i did as my bedroom is right next to it. I have a 3month old son. I feel hard done by and i dont think any of what she claims to be true is reason for eviction. she has also accused me of neglect for practising controlled crying (which i found extremely difficult) on my son., more
